Our journey begins at Marston Lane in Bedworth, where County Joinery specialised in window, frame and stair manufacturing with just 3 employees.

The company undergoes a name change to reflect a focus on volume staircase manufacturing, fastly becoming a market leader.

This year saw the company introducing i-Joists and Floorkits to their product range, making it the UK's only manufacturer of Staircases, i-Joists and Floorkits.

Travis Perkins invests and takes a 15% share in Staircraft.

Staircraft expands its product line to include MDF Profiles, closely followed by Door kits too. 

In 2017, Staircraft added 5 manufacturing facilities, ending the year with 8 facilities with more planned in 2018. 

By 2019, Staircraft relocates to Colliery Lane, North Bayton Road Industrial Estate, Coventry.

In 2021 Travis Perkins acquires the remaining 85% of Staircraft.

By 2022 Staircraft had expanded into a new headquarters and factory, specialising in existing and new MDF Profile lines and Doors and Door linings.

On the 1st of May 2025 the founder of Staircraft, Andy Hamilton purchased the business back from Travis Perkins.

Our status as one of Britain’s fastest growing companies (fast-track 100 ranked two years in a row) is an additional step up to us becoming the largest company within our field. Our customers are reaping the rewards of our 40 plus years experience and innovative solutions in the design and manufacture of staircases, i-joists, floor kits, door kit sets, and MDF Profiles.
