Our Joists come in 220mm, 240mm & 300mm deep sizes.

The maximum length our joist can be is 10.8m.

We pre-drill holes for 100-125mm extract ducts and SVP where required. We do not pre-drill for smaller pipe work.

We do not charge extra for Pre-drilling the large holes.

Our joist system does not require additional noggins below for the plasterboard, even if they are using 12.5mm plasterboard instead of 15mm, we have fire ratings for both.

Our technical guides can be found on our Knowledge Hub, alongside interactive details above, to better show how certain details work.

That is our perimeter notch, this works as bracing when the joists are being fitted which increases installation speed and when the floor is completed, they work as the perimeter noggin.

Working platform is a way that we can design floors that will allow the finished floor to be used as a platform to continue the walls up without the need for under floor propping.

Our joists should not be fixed to the masonry block with nails as this risks splitting the ends. The notch we provide should be used as the joists are being set up to prevent any tipping.

This will depend on the board manufacturer and the board type.

Norbord Caberdek – 42 days

Egger Peel Clean – 42 Days

Egger Protect – 60 Days

In both cases, the manufacturer states the default amount of glue should be 1 bottle of glue per 6 boards.

Pre-cut decking provides a faster fitting process due to them not having to cut the boards on site and also means there is less scrap material on site, which leads to reduced waste costs.

When using D4 glue as we provide, the gaps should be filled with glue once they are fitted, therefore there is no need for additional tape.
