Wall Handrails are to have rounded edges, or be returned to the wall to reduce the risk of clothing being caught.
This tends to be down to the FFL being incorrect. We need to know the As-Built FFL for all Newels to be square and plumb.
This is measured from the structural FFL. Carpets, underlay, Vinyl etc. are not taken into consideration.
Yes, our stairs are designed to carry a maximum load of 200kg at any location.
Yes, Private Stairs are designed for an imposed load of 1.5kN/m² and we can provide each Newel Load for your stair upon request.
You will either have a LHWS (Left Hand Wall String), RHWS (Right Hand Wall String) or BW (Between Walls). Please refer to our Handing a Staircase image below for further support on this.
